The United States government has announced a reward of up to $10 million for credible information leading to the identification or location of individuals it describes as “Iranian terrorist leaders.”
The offer was made through the Rewards for Justice Program, an initiative run by the United States Department of State that seeks information on individuals linked to global terrorism.
Details of the reward were disclosed in a poster shared on the programme’s official X (formerly Twitter) account. According to the statement, the individuals listed are accused of directing or coordinating activities connected to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

“These individuals command and direct various elements of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which plans, organises and executes terrorism around the world,” the poster stated.
Among those named in the announcement are Esmail Khatib, Iran’s minister of intelligence; Ali Asghar Hejazi, deputy chief of staff to the supreme leader; Yahya Rahim Safavi, a senior military adviser; and Eskandar Momeni, the country’s interior minister.
The list also includes Ali Larijani, who currently serves as secretary of Iran’s Supreme Council.
In addition to the named individuals, the banner referenced several high-ranking positions without identifying specific officeholders. These include the secretary of the Supreme Defence Council, the head of the supreme leader’s military office, the commander-in-chief of the IRGC, and an adviser to Iran’s supreme leader.
The programme noted that individuals who provide credible information may qualify not only for the financial reward but also for relocation assistance to ensure their safety.
The announcement comes amid rising tensions between Washington and Tehran following recent political developments in Iran. On March 8, Mojtaba Khamenei was reportedly named Iran’s new supreme leader after the death of his father, Ali Khamenei, who was reportedly killed during the early stages of the ongoing conflict involving Iran and a US-Israel coalition. The US government has continued to intensify pressure on Iranian leadership figures as geopolitical tensions in the Middle East remain high.
